Who am I?

My name is Dominique Hind and I work in the digital marketing and advertising industry in Sydney, Australia. I am passionate about all things online, particularly if they complement campaigns and extend the proposition online. I have been in the digital industry since leaving uni and until recently have been the ultimate blog consumer. Now that’s changed and I am going to be the ultimate blog participant.

I currently read about 50 blogs a day looking for anything that is relevant to my clients or colleagues. I love research and sharing learnings/insights about all things online.

I am a true believer in healthy body, healthy mind and just about to complete my first marathon (EICK), which I am very nervous about doing……..

Very classy blog. Saw this reference in the OZ today. PS, in paragraph one above did you mean ‘complement’?

    Dom,

I lurve your blog. I spent 4 hours on it clicking on every single link :-) ( I am stealing a few things for work presentation :-) )

Where did you get that much ink to write all of that stuff???

    XOXO

Nice blog, it looks like you have really dived right on in. I also quite liked your learnings on the US/AU politics peice. Controlled saturation combined with an endgame certainly seems to work in context. I was wondering if by any chance you know where Candice has ended up?

    Hi Dominique,

I work on http://www.jobs.com.au and was hoping you’d be open to an exchange of links? Your WordPress Blog has some good content and it would be great if we could work something out.

Please email me at my supplied address above.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Yeah your blog seems to have a heap of people worshiping you, and I am lost as to why? your How I would have done it better on the Australia-Tasmania campaign went on about facebook and youtube and in the comments someone has directed you to those actual pages.

“you read 50 blogs a day” – do you actually do work? All I see in this blog is a mish-mash of the same-old same-old rehashing marketing clap-trap to make you seem important, its an old story vaguely polished.

There are no new adventurous ideas here, just safe boring middle of the road ideas.

This type of crap is why advertising and digital is going backwards in australia – when we should be so far ahead of the rest of the world – we are becoming a nation of beige – middle of the road thinkers.

after reading your blog, I am just yawning, rather than being inspired.

    Hi Victor,

Thanks very much for your comment. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you actually read my blog, you would realise that this is more for me than anyone else. If people want to read, then great. This is a collection of my thoughts so that when I need to reference them at a later date, I know where they are. One central repository rather than several social networks.

For someone who has such an opinion, I can’t seem to find any reference to you anywhere. No blog, no postings and no reference to working in a company, nothing. I would be really interested to read some of your thoughts and opinions on how we can actually make the Australian industry better. Maybe you should get on the blog bandwagon and share your adventurous ideas so the industry will be a whole lot better off.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Cheers,
    Dom

Now Dom when you put someone in their place you are supposed to show that you are not at all bothered by it.

Thanks Liam. Next time it happens I will take that on board……..

    Hope you are well.

    Hi Dominique,

I’m a big fan of your blog. Have been reading since you started. I particularly like the way you bring out the examples of who’s doing what well and how others can improve their digital offerings, etc. I’ve been threatening to do that this year so we’ll see…

    Cheers

    Pete

  16. dominiquehind Says:

Thanks Pete. I think the best way to learn is analysing other marketing campaigns. Very rewarding when clients take the learnings on for their own campaigns.

Fingers crossed I can continue to delivery on my new year’s resolution of three blog posts per week.

    Cheers,
    Dom

Well done mate. Hope it’s all going well and you’re still inspired. It’s been a while since the days of Malcolm Johnston’s “Entrepreneurship and New Business Venture,” our favourite subject at uni.

No doubt I’ll see you soon randomly in a client foyer. Take care, BJ
